Every Pet Deserves Affordable Care
No family should have to choose between paying rent and caring for their pet. Our nonprofit clinic makes spay, neuter, and wellness care affordable for every Indiana family.
Our Services
From routine spay & neuter to TNR — we make veterinary services accessible to everyone.
About Pets Alive
In 2005, shelters across the United States were euthanizing roughly 5 million cats and dogs every year. That was unacceptable. So we opened a clinic where every family could afford to spay or neuter their pet.
Today we operate Monday through Thursday out of our Bloomington clinic, serving families from fifteen Indiana counties. No income proof. No residency requirement. No questions you'd rather not answer.

Ray J came home
Ray J escaped his carrier just before his appointment and disappeared into the woods behind our clinic. Scared and skittish, he stayed hidden for a month.
His family and our staff never gave up. They took turns searching, calling his name, and leaving food where he might find it. Kari from our team spent evenings and weekends slowly earning his trust — until the day she could finally scoop him up and carry him inside. Ray J went home to his family.
Help Us Be There for the Next One“Every animal that comes through our doors deserves to experience the very best of humankind.”

A Day Inside Pets Alive
There are some things you can only learn by standing quietly in the corner of a room.
Our Executive Director spent a morning watching the clinic at work — the instrument prep before the first incision, the quiet feline recovery room, the front desk's first hello. Meet the people who carry the mission, one ordinary moment at a time.
