South Central Indiana Vets
Pets Alive and full-service veterinarians
Our goal at Pets Alive is to do whatever we can to ensure that no unwanted litter of puppies or kittens is created only because a guardian cannot afford to fix their pets. That's why we provided high-quality, donor-subsidized spay/neuter surgeries for fees significantly below the actual full cost of providing the surgery. We believe this is the best way to end the everyday cruelty of cat and dog destruction that is the result of the pet overpopulation crisis.
Pets Alive is NOT a full-service veterinary clinic. We examine each animal prior to surgery to determine whether there are evident symptoms that might recommend against surgery at our facility. Our surgeries and vaccination services are intended for healthy cats and dogs only. We can provide no veterinary care or advice other than that which is directly and immediately related to those services, nor can we provide any emergency service other than that which might be directly, immediately, and clearly related to the spay/neuter surgeries we perform.
Given the volume of the cats and dogs that visit our clinic for surgery and vaccinations, and the diversity of their backgrounds, we are unable to provide individually tailored medical recommendations for each pet other than those related to the age, size, breed(s) of the animal, and the likelihood of its contact with other members of the species inside and outside the guardian's or caretaker's household. Our core vaccine, testing, and preventative medicine recommendations are deliberately made to apply to the greatest number of the cats and dogs that we see. We are unable to incorporate the full history and condition of each pet as would be the case in an established relationship with a full-service veterinarian.
Below is a list of full-service veterinarians treating cats and dogs in the Bloomington area. The list was compiled from public information sources and Pets Alive neither recommends nor refers to specific veterinarians or practices. We do believe that it is important for an animal's overall health and well-being to be seen regularly by a full-service veterinarian. It is particularly important for the diagnosis of symptoms of illness or injury, the treatment of such, and medical emergencies. It is best in such cases if the veterinarian-patient relationship is established prior to the need arising.
